I started out this week wanting to write about Labor Day and the significance of the holiday but I find myself totally absorbed in the fact that I am turning 40 this year. On October 1st, I will hit that milestone and I just realized that is less than a month away.

When I take a look back on what I have accomplished, I am amazed with how blessed I have been. Starting at a very young age, I was extremely fortunate to find success in my career, my family and my businesses. I have been recognized in many forums for my contribution and accomplishments. I have found my greatest success in the accomplishments of my daughter and of my clients and I attribute that to having the time to spend with each of them.

I would not be able spend time with my family and my clients if I was tied down to my business, so this week’s article begins with the question, “Do you run a business or have a job?” If done correctly, your business can run on autopilot and provide you with the freedom to work on projects and spend time with your family as you choose to do so.
