Another Dance Recital Complete!

The 2009 Touch of Class Dance Recital is finally over. After months of working on a fabulous number, we finally got to perform it. The show's theme was "Don't Stop Believing" focused on 30 years in the business. My group, is the "seasoned" group (as Dan calls it - meaning demonstrating more expertise), of adults that get together just to have a great old time. Having the privilege of forming great friendships and what I remember most about this weekend is the endless stories we told to each other and the laughter.

Dress Rehersal was comical, we were given an opportunity to run thru the number once and there is one part where I run off stage and run back on...well you guessed it, I didn't have enough time to run back on stage....... I remember just dancing on stage out of my lines with the rest of the girls looking at me wondering what is up. It reminded me of a Saturday Night Live skit.....it was totally funny.

Oh and yes, my foot is healing nicely. I am able to walk and flex my foot. Pointing my toe was difficult and I couldn't roll over on the top of my foot but the dance director gave me a special section so I wouldn't have to hurt my foot over again.... now, now, now don't get excited, it wasn't a solo as much as it was me standing waving my arms around while everyone else was dancing on the floor.

Overall, it was a successful night.
